Stagnancy

By [ko]

I smell stagnancy,
*sniff*
Complacency and putridity
Utter societal and Institutional immobilities.
Locked and stuck despite a profuse pandering of surrogate proposals.
"After thousands of years of concentration upon the riddle of the nature of man, humanity finds itself exactly where it started: with the confession of utter ignorance."(1)
13 holes in substratal biology alone rests in:
epigeneticism, morpho-regulation, regeneration, and reproduction.
Instinct, self-regulation, learning, even evolution.
Origins, closed causality, circularity, psychology,
And the meta-physics of "flukes" like telepathy (2)
But natural science won't budge from their self-forged spire,
Good olde Greek "Pure Reason" constraints intact, science for hire.
"Deceptions by the senses become real mistakes only through our reason." (3)
Sense Data sits on the sidelines as scientific method withers out of season.
"Certitude is seized but some minds, not because there is any philosophical justification for it, but because such minds have an emotional need for certitude." (4)
"The man who never alters his opinions is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."(5)
(R)evolution please.

A quick lesson in perception
In order of succession:
1) Etic space-time continuum energy event
2) partial reception (subtraction) of perceptor organ hit
3) organismic reaction, projection, emotional addition
4) mental image, THE idea, percept, sum of the brain.s mathematical equation
End manipulations. Welcome to subjective reality.
"Our senses don't deceive us: our judgment does"(6)
"We receive around 10,000 sensory signals per minute and edit out (probably) more than 9,990 of them, to tune in or concentrate attention on less than 10 signals that seem "important. to us" The other 9,990-plus signals are "unconsciously" classified as "meaningless" or "irrelevantr"; they are not "consciously suppressed because they never reach the "conscious" centers of the brain." (7)
Yet it remains a trusted source, my only torch in this metaphor I've created
"organ sensation is the most important tool of natural scientific research" (8)
Even a great knew the limited ability of his life's works
"Insofar as the laws of mathematics is certain, they do not refer to reality; and insofar as they refer to reality, they are not certain." (9)
"All thought consists of manipulations of symbols according to Game Rules. The combination of symbols and rules make up a system. When stripped down to their bare mathematico-logical bones, all systems appear to be either trivial or dubious."(10)
Infinitely fallible neuro-infallibility.
Unreliable bullshit which seems the only frame of knowability
"Hume and Nietzsche seem to be alone in claiming that what is called a "fact" is just another appearance which somebody has decided to believe is a fact." (11)
Suit to your own reality selection tunnel
"The true method of knowledge is experiment." (12)
Sure, I'll give it a whirl, just for the hell of it.
Blasphemous claims of physics defying experimentation
spontaneous bio-generations of life by sand, grass or metal self-cessation
vacuum tubes with a bio-energetic glow, natural fevers
I witnessed all from these alleged deceivers
And yet they do not and cannot exist. Why?
"What is the hardest thing of all?
That which seems the easiest
For your eyes to see,
That which lies before your eyes. (13)
Our own cognition, repetition of manifested self-lies
Refusing, Denying,
and destroying the keys
"As a man is, so he sees."(14)
"The organism can perceive only what it itself expresses." (15)

"There is no chance whatsoever to ever penetrate through the mire unless one has put oneself outside the holocaust and has made oneself inaccessible to the big noise."(16)
Korzybski talked of noises, abuses of language and expression.
Blockages in the linguistic grid,
A culturally manifested and carried on self-oppression
Only magnified by a lack of education
Bound by a parasite larger and grander than we could ourselves conceive,
Our own minds.
A spook we choose to call Absolute Truth.
"Modern Idolatry consists of metaphors that are called Objective Truth in both cases human linguistic structures - complicated primate chatterings - have, in effect, become Gods, and whoever questions them is considered a blasphemer." (17)
"Our linguistic categories, useful as they may be, have absolutely no real , necessary or essential relation to the actual reality in which we find ourselves. Crisp, inscrutable, vast, and unfathomable, it notoriously defies language." (18)
Constructed constrictions, unable to question
Put a choke hold on wonder; any deeper delving surely apt to oppression
"With the unknown, one is confronted with danger, discomfort and worry; the first instinct is to abolish these painful sensations. First principle: any explanation is better than none. The search for causes is thus conditioned by and excited by the feeling of fear. The question "Why?" is not pursued for its own sake but to find a certain kind of answer - an answer that is pacifying, tranquilizing and soothing."(19)
And destroy any explanation that may arouse or stir the complacent mind.
Hatred for their own freedom, they look for more and more to bind
Oh the great rush one can get from killing innocence, beauty.
To cut out the heart of a dove.
"The desire to destroy is merely the reaction to disappointment in or loss of love."(20)
A loss. Of love.
A rigid temple of apathy and hate built on foundations domestication and repression
"In order to investigate nature, we must, literally love the object of our investigation." (21)
And for those incapable of love,
They get the world they seem capable of
The personal inability to see further carries over
To them a loveless reality gets unfurled
"They are right from where they are and what they are.
But you are right from where you see the world." (22)
"The unarmored being perceives the self and the surrounding world in an essentially different way than does the armored organism." (23)
Cognitive immaturity literally materializes as physical stunting
A case of sensory deception
based on faulty developments of the sensory organ conception
Also a constant crisis mentality of bio-survival
The petty dealings of the world
Makes one's own life a rival
"The trap is man's emotional structure, his character structure... the only way to get out of the trap is to know the trap and to find the exit." (24)
But the key "is" not a key
And the exit "is" the door of the law
Crawl every inch and never find a guiding light.
the grass may seem greener outside
But out seems in and in may slip out if you know what you.re doing
"It is the basic evasion of the essential which is the problem of man." (25)
Essence etymology: the basic element of anything
The thing, the movement, the action able the universe to span
"Everything natural and profound is simple."(26)
Functionalistic properties of expansion and contraction
Vibration, pulsation.
A common principle applied above as well as below
Resonant satisfaction
"The "World Soul" was ...
in accord with modern orgonomic functionalism.i" (27)
Empirical spirituality.
"We place no reliance on virgin or pidgeon
Our method is science, our aim is religion.i"(28) ???
Have I gone too far??
Everyone, ready the tar!
Then again
Maybe I'm completely full of shit
Slay the soothsayer, the truth peddler who claims to know "It".
And go find your own damn way schmucks.

"Let people live their own truths, not your truth."(30)
"doubt, and find your own light."(29)
