Creating the Center of the World: A Sketch

By Ognen Spiroski (aka ogie)

The strength of the temple, which makes it endure all worldly influence (corruption) is, it is said, the celestial geometry employed in its architectonic plans. Once, the architectonic plans containing the divine designs were revealed in visions, in dreams and were attained by the grace of the gods. And since these models were in heaven, or manifestations of heaven, they shared the sacredness of the sky. Nowadays, both the purpose and the source of the designs have evolved.

The temple of modern and (presumably) profane man has shifted to his own home, his living place, his sanctuary. The purpose evolved to increased functionality, security and longevity - and style. These are things that a modern temple must fulfill, with increasing demand. The sources for the designs which fulfill these needs are now sought and found in visions of another kind. The celestial geometry which has these values modern man seeks, is based on the geometry of the Universe, as revealed by the sciences of mathematics, physics and chemistry. They mimic not the revelations from deities, but the manifestations of abstract formulas which unfold in a fractal manner and reveal a nature that is both familiar and alien at once.

And as we have evolved the techniques for creating "the Center of the World", and the goals they seek to accomplish, I only hope that we'll soon wake up from the religious visions that once created them into the modern visions that we dream daily and which scream loudly at us "Reality is what you make of it".

If we once gained divine inspirations from dreams, we can now dream up our inspirations into existence. Divinity, which was once found in the celestial geometry of the designs, we can evolve to our liking.
